Our story

Heartwood Toys makes Playtiles: magnetic building tiles made from solid wood, finished with water-based paint, with strong magnets sealed inside. They click together like the tiles kids already love—without a single piece of plastic.

We’re based in Gig Harbor, Washington. We believe the best toys are the ones that get knocked over a thousand times and still look good on the shelf—and that “open-ended” should mean exactly that: no screens, no instructions, no wrong answers.
